Information we use

When you sign in using Microsoft Entra ID or authorized Google authentication, FoLdr. receives identity information required to create and manage your account, including your full name, institutional email address, and profile avatar. FoLdr. never stores raw Microsoft or Google passwords.

The platform also processes operational data created across its features, including competition registrations, trial applications, mentorship assignments, scoring ballots, draw allotments, task tracking, event attendance, committee roles, member productivity records, and administrative audit trails.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate students, faculty supervisors, committee administrators, judges, and guests; coordinate academic competition workflows; enforce governance rules; maintain attributable administrative records; and safeguard platform integrity.

Sharing and retention

FoLdr. does not sell personal or institutional data. Information is restricted strictly based on role-based access controls (Student, Committee Admin, Faculty, Master Admin, Judge, and Guest). Public profile participation and blacklist history are published according to institutional transparency guidelines. Operational records are retained as required for institutional continuity and academic archiving.

Encryption & Security

Authentication and identity access are managed securely by identity providers with multi-factor authentication. Sensitive data fields—including judge ballot feedback, confidential tie-break records, task notes, and system audit details—are protected using AES-256-GCM field-level encryption at rest and cryptographic payload signatures. All administrative operations maintain immutable audit trails.
